The Modern Baking team introduced its big plans for 2006 by unveiling a contemporary, fresh look for the magazine that includes a new "modern" logo.
"Our mission was to reexamine every element of the magazine -- from the front cover to the body text -- to see if it could be improved and updated. We wanted to refresh Modern Baking's appearance and improve its readability while keeping it organized and informative," says Editor/Associate Publisher Heather Brown. "The most nerve-wracking decision was the new logo design. But we were confident in our design talent and in the opinions of our editorial advisory board."
The Modern Baking team worked with design firm, Cornerstone Media, to create the strong visual elements that draw readers into stories, including eye-catching subhead and sidebar styles and cleaner page designs. The new look debuted with the December 2005 issue and the early buzz is positive. Heather has received encouraging phone calls from readers and advertisers alike.
